BIO BITS:

Like this website, THE BEGINNER'S GUIDE is simple and straightforward.
Though Steve Haberman was briefly a stockbroker decades ago, after graduating from the University of Texas, he has no connection with Wall Street. The views in the unbiased GUIDE are simply those of a private investor with over thirty years experience, buying long-term, through good and bad times. And making money at it.
Investing in no-load funds let him escape the rat race early in life; he hasn't worked full time since the 1970's.
Furthermore investing in low cost funds has allowed him to tour Europe over eleven times, at times for several months.
And also provided time to write the favorably reviewed Murder Without Pity, the first of several mysteries to occur partly or entirely in Paris.
